Long ago... so the story of my crown caps collection starts. At the rise of the 1990's my brother-in-law wanted to play skat and my father bought some bottles of beer. By chance they were different and as we played happily (and emptied the bottles), I realized that the caps were not blank.
So I put the caps on my bookcase and started looking for the colorful caps every time I was shopping. The collection grows and when the bookcase was filled up, I started to glue the caps to small nails (with a glue gun) to pin them to a cork board (sorted).
Today I have over 34.005 (many thanks Art Z. for Nr. 10.000 and Udo for Nr. 12.000 and Guido for Nr. 13.000 and me for Nr. 15.000 and Andy for Nr. 16000 and Holger for Nr. 17.000and Eckhard for Nr. 18.000 and neighbor Michi for Nr. 19.000 (Klaus and Eike: it was a very close run, many thanks anyway!!) ;-) and Eike for Nr. 19.999 and Joachim B. for Nr. 20.000 and Joachim S., Sabine S. and Willi for Nr. 21.000 and Fabio for Nr. 22.000 and Victor for Nr. 23.000 and Wolfgang Sch. for Nr. 24.000 and Fabio for Nr. 25.000 and Fabio for Nr 26.000 und einige neue Länder und Benji for Nr. 27.000 und Dietmar for Nr. 28.000 and Jörg for Nr. 29.000 and Dietmar & Han for Nr. 30.000 (*) and Dietmar for Nr. 31.000 and Hubert for Nr. 32.0000 and ? at the trade meeting in Hamburg (2022) for Nr. 33.000 and Rüdiger for Nr. 34.000 ... from 188 different countries and I hope the collection will continue to grow ;-)
(*) both packages arrived on the same day, so I could not decide ;-)
The latest (very very outdated!!) list (28.02.2005) as PDF-file: deckel62.pdf
(Tip: right mouse button to save it as a file and look at it later (with Acrobat Reader)).
(I need the caps - marked with * or ** - in a good condition)
I am happy about every cap I get (it's a pitty that caps can't be sent by email ;-)).
:-) Many thanks to:

List of countries (and islands) I would like to have some caps from (thanks to Immanuel for his advice):
Here I need your help!!!
Who can tell me the brewery, country and brand of the following caps?
Please feel free to mail me :-) Mike.Demuth@web.de
Many thanks for your help!!!
2001 I got the ultimate opener as a birthday present. It opens the caps without a bend or dent. With a lighter I always hurt my fingers (I'm a Non-smoker ;-).
Meanwhile I found a new opener (seen at friends), which opens the crown caps without any dent:
the Jarkey jar opener (EAN:0000057020211) from Denmark. But sadly the plastic unravelled very fast.
Thanks to my small freeware program (T.W.U.S.) (the program is "crown caps ware" at least) I was able - with the help of some friendly users - to expand my collection. Even from Thailand I got some caps :-)
The last visits in Bavaria and Denmark, the trading by internet and with the help from friends and colleagues the number of caps rose remarkable.
By the way: I collect juice, water, lemon and cola caps too (if they have the typical look)...
Please see the collection in my workroom =>
