Long ago... so the story of my crown caps collection starts. At the rise of the 1990's my brother-in-law wanted to play skat and my father bought some bottles of beer. By chance they were different and as we played happily (and emptied the bottles), I realized that the caps were not blank.
So I put the caps on my bookcase and started looking for the colorful caps every
time I was shopping. The collection grows and when the bookcase was filled up, I
started to glue the caps to small nails (with a glue gun) to pin them to a cork
board (sorted).
Today I have over 37.291 caps (many thanks Art Z. for Nr. 10.000 and Udo for

Many thanks for your help!!!
2001 I got the ultimate opener as a birthday present. It opens the caps without a bend or dent. With a lighter I always hurt my fingers (I'm a Non-smoker ;-).
perfect opener:-)
(see www.mono.de)
Meanwhile I found a new opener (seen at friends), which opens the crown caps without any dent:
the Jarkey jar opener (EAN:0000057020211) from Denmark. But sadly the plastic unravelled very fast.
(see www.brixdesign.com)
Thanks to my small freeware program (T.W.U.S.) (the program is "crown caps ware" at least) I was able - with the help of some friendly users - to expand my collection. Even from Thailand I got some caps :-)
The last visits in Bavaria and Denmark, the trading by internet and with the help from friends and colleagues the number of caps rose remarkable.
By the way: I collect juice, water, lemon and cola caps too (if they have the typical look)...
Please see the collection in my workroom =>
